Friday Fun Day – 7/6/12

6 Jul

One of the things I’ll miss most about LA? Dodger baseball on a warm summer night. There’s nothing better (even if they lose by 6 runs! Come on, boys!)

What I Learned:

  • How cultures name their colors is fascinating! Black and white are differentiated first and then usually red. Japanese didn’t differentiate blue from green until the 20th century! Thanks, Empirical Zeal!
  • Cap’n Crunch’s real name is Captain Horatio Magellan Crunch. Yep. I’m bringing the important knowledge to you! Thanks, Mentalfloss!
  • George W. Bush loved kraft single and white bread grilled cheese sandwiches. Andrew Johnson liked to eat pine bark stew. Apparently a meal of cold milk and cherries killed President Taylor. Thank you, The Awl!

Hahaha, YES to busty girl comics. Just, all of the things! Also, aw, you studied in Bristol? I love Bristol! Did you also go to Bath, because soooo pretty! 🙂

Yep, I studied for a year in Bristol and LOVED it. Such a fantastic city! I miss it all the time. And Bath is so lovely, especially around Christmas! Man. I need to get back to the UK. 🙂

Give me a shout!
