I hope all my fellow Americans had a fun Fourth! I spent it freezing at a breezy beach, eating tacos and watching fireworks. Now it’s time for some long weekend cleaning and relaxation. Woo!
What I Learned
- Although I knew that voting literacy tests were just ridiculous tools to keep people from voting (usually for racist reasons), I’d never seen one before. I’d be amazed if anyone ever passed this brainteaser of a test.
- And to be completely superficial, I learned that Sephora is having a half off nail polish sale. Get it.
Links
- Although I’m not a mom, I think I’ll bookmark this very honest, beautiful piece about how the first few months of motherhood are incredibly hard for later.
- Boozy Pimms Cup popsicles!
- Hey. Why can’t I have an adorable family who I take to a beautiful Italian seaside every year? Huh?
- I love both the book planter for succulents, and the very funny directions.
- I hate to admit it, but “My Friend’s Horrifying Break-Up is Really Making my Day”…so much truth.
- Photos of parents putting sunscreen on their kids? Adorable and terrifying.
- You got a dog? YOU GOT A GYM.
- Feeling down? Look at some pictures of kitties serving on boats in WWII, sleeping in their KITTY SIZED HAMMOCKS and hanging with cute sailors. I’ll bet you feel better now, don’t you.
Pimms cup popsicles, you say? MAKING THAT, say I! (Say I? Worst grammar ever. Oh dear.)
Hey thanks Dizzle! How very exciting for me to be part of a links page. And also to know that I’m not alone in my tendencies towards the selfish and absurd.
Dude. I totally thought I was the only one. I was so happy when I saw your post!
